Mr. Roger Wheatly is pictured in front of his young birds pigeon loft. He is a member of the Ojai Pigeon Club, he resides in Casitas Pass California with his family. Not pictured, his son Matt, right hand, and manager for the whole operation. Roger says is his son who, " gets the birds in the crate before dawn, and wakes him up to go train the pigeons." The Wheatly team is one of the true forces in the combine, tough competitors, and true sports men.
 

This is the pigeon loft of Rogelio Juarez, member of the Ventura Pigeon Club. He lives with his family in Oxnard California. Pictured is one of his sons, just like the other two; very important part of his life. He was not at home the day I took this picture, for he was attending his other son's baseball tournament in Los Angeles. Rogelio is a very active member of the combine, and true foundation of this club. He is responsible for mentoring, and helping some of the new members who join his club. Small operation, but dangerous competition every week. Watch out when he says, "ñacatelas!" My translation for something like that is 'slam dunk.'

Esta es el palomar de Rogelio Juarez quien pertece al Club Colombofilo de Ventura. El vive en Oxnard California con su familia. En la fotografia uno de sus hijos, que asi como los otros dos, son una parte muy importante en su vida. El no estaba en casa el dia que tome la fotografia; ya que estaba atendiendo un torneo de baseball con su otro hijo en Los Angeles. Rogelio es una de las elementos claves en su club, el ha motivado, y ayudado a muchos de los principiantes que se unen a este club. Aunque el tiene una operacion pequeña, cada fin de semana, el es competencia de peligro. Ya es de cuidado cuando el dice, "ñacatelas!"

No fotografiado, su hijo Matt, mano derecha, y encargado oficial de toda la finca. Roger dice que su hijo, " encesta antes del amanecer, y lo despierta para ir a entrenar los palomos." El equipo de Wheatly is una de las fuerzas poderosas en la federacion, competidores fuertes, y caballeros de este deporte.
